The Science of Sound, the highly anticipated third studio album from genre-defying ensemble Deep Energy Orchestra, is available now via 7D Media. Led by visionary composer, bassist, and producer Jason Everett (aka Mister E), the album continues the group’s exploration of cross-cultural fusion, intricate composition, and improvisational depth.
Following the acclaimed releases Playing With Fire (2018) and The Return (2020), The Science of Sound brings together a global roster of renowned musicians, blending Indian classical rhythm, progressive rock, jazz, funk, and orchestral arrangements into a vibrant and emotionally resonant soundscape.

A Sonic Journey Across Traditions
The album’s eight tracks—including compositions by Everett, John Wubbenhorst (“The Dancers”), and U. Rajeshwith Ganesh Kumar (“Fireflies”)—showcase rhythmically complex yet emotionally accessible music. From the opening energy of “Morning Over Madrid” to the meditative finale “Stargazing,” The Science of Sound is a journey through groove, grace, and global musical languages.
Everett, whose fretless seven-string bass and custom sitar-bass are central to the group’s sound, describes the album as “a collaboration that honors the strengths of every artist involved, while serving a larger musical vision that communicates across cultures and traditions.”
Produced for Impact
The album was produced and arranged by Jason Everett, with engineering, mixing, and mastering by Don Gunn(Soundgarden, Peter Frampton). The result is an immersive and dynamic listening experience that bridges structure and spontaneity.
